Earlier today: Manny Villar made a not-so-unexpected guest appearance on Wowowee. Being that the show’s target audience — or contestants, to be more accurate — are our economically-challenged brothers and sisters, it only made sense that Villar seized the opportunity to further extend his messianic image to and for the “mahihirap”.

It’s a point he’s already written with pencil lead, then with pen ink, then with crayons, then with water colors, then perhaps next with a permanent marker. The ads have at first spoken sense, but now they’re just screaming at you with desensitizing blah-blahs about the dude being the one who’s “laking Tondo” and “tunay na mahirap”. Although, to be fair, the latest “Check” ad is something I’d like the other candidates to take inspiration from. It builds the image with only the really relevant stuff.

But that really isn’t my point.

Word is, MV’s vice-presidential bet Loren Legarda is set to invade Kuya’s house. If not tonight, any time within the season, I hear. Apart from the fact that Pinoy Big Brother’s another one of 2’s top-raters and would be good exposure for Loren, I’m not entirely sure what she has planned to do there. Perhaps talk global warming and force-kick some sense into Jason’s head?

The point is this. First it was Manny on Wowowee, now it’s Loren on PBB. What is up, ABS? Shall I look forward to Noy making a cameo in Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo?
